I am always looking for the shortest distance between two points. I am drawn to communication that is only as long as it needs to be to make its point. I love writers who can sum up big, hairy concepts into pithy, entertaining quotes and memes. Several years ago, I was helping my daughter with haiku poetry in school. After helping with her homework, I went back to reading my Harvard Business Review. With the 5-7-5 three-line syllable format rolling around in my head, I started summarizing the main point of each article I was reading into haiku. Continuing on the path of optimization, the Lean process improvement methodology was transformative at a company I founded, Enservio. It’s now become a bit of an obsession as I have written hundreds of haiku on every topic imaginable. Check out new Haiku @ https://www.instagram.com/_jimfini.
